Dr Shankaran Nambiar is a Senior Research Fellow at the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research. He has served as a consultant for many Malaysian ministries and international organisations abroad. Dr Nambiar has published widely and actively comments on economic and geo-economic issues for various news and media outlets such as Nikkei Asian Review and Jakarta Post. He holds a PhD in Economics from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
